The International Institute of DAO Deficiency is a HealthTech with the largest community of DAO deficiency specialists. It is dedicated to connecting patients with KOLs in DAO deficiency worldwide. Founded in 2015 in Barcelona, Spain, our journey began by offering services in various Spanish hospitals.

At the International Institute of DAO Deficiency, we are committed to advancing research, education, and patient support—making a real difference in the lives of those affected by DAO deficiency.

Recognizing the growing global need for specialized care, we expanded beyond borders. In 2022, we launched our global Licensing Program, creating an international network of healthcare professionals specializing in DAO deficiency. Today, we are present in 27 cities and 14 countries and growing!

To further strengthen our community, we open applications every six months for healthcare professionals who wish to join our project as licensed members. This initiative allows us to continuously expand our reach and provide expert care to more patients worldwide.
